Hotel Divani: Pertouli, Trikala, Greece Pertouli is one of the last few remaining mountain communities with permanent residents dedicated to the land and animal breeding. From the later part of the 19th century it has become widely recognized as a recreational center. The village spreads itself along the entrance of a far hidden valley at an altitude of 1150M in the heart of a uniquely rare (for Greece) pine forest in the region of southern Pindos.


The Resort

Ten (10) Rooms , with a view exposed to the unique natural beauty of Pertouli . Furnished with traditional woodcrafted furniture while simultaneously providing bath and television. Further to its central heating half the rooms are equipped with fireplaces offering the guest a peaceful and relaxing stay. A sense of warmth is found in all the remaining areas of the resort thanks to the friendly atmosphere and candidness thanks to the discreet environment availed by the young couple that owns this resort. In a TV-free dinning room, asides from the genuine local cuisine which the guests have the opportunity to enjoy, one can pleasantly sit back and let time pass.

The Kitchen

In a place where attention to detail is a conviction, the cuisine could not be an exception. Palette pleasing home-cooked bites prepared by the ladies of the village. Surrounding the hotel, several hundred square metres of land used for cultivation and grazing of green products which are routed into our kitchen and freshly prepared and served onto the plate of our guest.

Our traditional cuisine is complemented by our own dairy products with a wide selection of cheese and wines from our very own cellar.

All combined a table spread to be remembered and cherished by our guests.

The Collection

Four centuries of human presence in the region unfold in the through the unique Collection made up of approximately two hundred superb samples of embroidery and cloth, micro-woodcraft , silver and carved artifacts covering volumes of past activities in the region. The wool, the wood, the steel, the silver, the copper, all crafted with unimagined patience and persistence constitute the medium which allows the visitor to travel lightly into ages past and discover unknown strings in history but also details of everyday life of the mountain people. The struggle for survival, love for freedom, the judeochristian faith, the artful expression , are all values reflected in these artifacts. The collection is complemented by a rich photographic archive chronically covering the last 80 years. Stimulants as these will help the free mimded guest to explore the surrounding region and luckiluy discover that very few things have changed in Pertouli over time.
