Chania Crete |
Doma Hotel is an old Neoclassical mansion in Chania, which was transformed
into a B' class hotel well-known for its friendly and warm atmosphere of a real Greek home.
DOMA HOTEL is a B' class hotel 1km from the
port of Chania. The hotel is 1km from the town centre and on the harbour. There is a regal quality to this building,
its neo-classical style eminently suited to its role as the one-time British Consulate.
It has 29 rooms with private bathroom, and it is built on the shore, while the pleasant breakfast-room on the top
floor serves also as a snack-bar.
The rooms all have showers and w/c’s. A number of rooms to the rear, overlooking the garden,
have air-conditioning and balconies and those in the front are double-glazed to reduce traffic noise from the road
below. Two fully air-conditioned suites are located on the first floor comprising of a twin bedroom, front facing
lounge with TV and extra settee bed, bathroom with bath, shower and w/c. A really useful addition is a lift that
reaches all floors and is especially useful for access to the breakfast room and the restaurant on the third floor,
which has superb views over the bay. A small ground floor bar provides another amenity for guests.
The rooms of the hotel are simple but elegant. Their decoration matches the overall hotel style.
They are fully air-conditioned and they overlook the bay of Hania or the pretty garden of the hotel. Service is
excellent and the hotel's personnel are all friendly and ready to assist you in every possible way.
