Recommended by Matt Barrett, The Maistrali Hotel is only 20 meters (22 yards) from Livadi beach, 500 meters from the port and 5 km. (3 miles) from Serifos town. It is situated on the shore and  is one of the nicest hotels Serifos has to offer, with a bar; lounge and a TV room for relaxing in.

The rooms of the Maistrali hotel are equipped with with air-conditioning , private bathroom,telephones, mini fridge, TV, hairdryer and safe and all rooms have balconies, with either a sea view or a view of the unique hill-top Hora town and the farms and reeds of the valley of Livadi. For a special treat request the penthouse on the roof which has a view of everything. The breakfast room and patio have wireless internet which can also reach many of the rooms in the hotel.

Owned by Bobis Bobolos one of the friendliest and most knowlegable residents on the island, guests get more than a hotel when they stay here. The Hora (village) of Serifos is one of the most picturesque and traditional villages in the Cyclades. Walk up its narrow streets to the castle at the top of the hill and admire the view of the nearby islands and the large bay of Livadi and its numerous coves and beaches. Serifos has some of the best beaches in the Cyclades and is visited by few tourists, though a number of artists and architects from Athens have their summer homes here. The hotel is just a few meters away from restaurants, cafes, shops and the ferry, has free parking and can arrange for car rentals, taxis and transfers from the ferry.
