Cave of the Nymphs is a private estate with olive trees, orchards, vegetable gardens and vineyard, occupying an area of approximately 11,000 sq m. Due to its location, the Εstate not only has expansive mountain and sea views, but also offers visitors privacy, peace and quiet. It is perched on a hillside overlooking the bay of Aetos, Mountain Neritos and the islet of Atokos, on the southern part of Ithaca, about 1,5 Km west of Vathy, Ithaca’s capital and main harbor, where most amenities of the island are found.

On the northern part of the Estate, there are two newly built detached houses, surrounded by terraces, gardens, orchards and olive trees. Fully furnished and equipped, they combine the traditional style of the island with the comforts of modern life. Arethusa and Caliadne, called after the names of two nymphs Naiads, have breathtaking views and offer perfect holiday accommodation if you seek privacy and tranquility.

Each house, comfortably sleeping up to 4 persons, has:

•     2 bedrooms (1 double, 1 twin), each with its own balcony;

•     open plan living area with fireplace, fold-out sofa bed and television;

•     fully equipped kitchen with fridge and single oven electric cooker;

•     indoor and outdoor dining areas;

•     bathroom with bathtub, washing machine and hair-dryer;

•     roofed veranda with panoramic sea and mountain views;

•     backyard with vegetable garden;

•     private swimming pool (Arethusa house);

•     barbecue (Caliadne house);

•     secure parking space.
   

All rooms are fully air-conditioned and heated to make your holiday comfortable in any season.   

About 1 Km away of the Estate, is located the organized beach of Dexa, awarded with the Blue Flag of the Greek National Tourism Organization. Apart from Dexa, the beaches of Aetos, Pisso Aetos, Loutsa and Minimata are quite close to Cave of the Nymphs Estate. Nearby the Estate, there are three picturesque country churches, Aghios Nicolas, Aghios Andreas and Aghios Spyridon, with panoramic views towards Vathy town, Aetos bay and the neighboring islands. The Estate is also close to some walking trails, as well as to the archaeological site Cave of the Nymphs.
