The North Aegean Islands, several of which border Turkey, are my favorite islands in Greece. Green and more lush than the Cyclades, inexpensive, with beautiful beaches and perhaps the best food in Greece, they may remind you of Greece twenty and thirty years ago. With easy ferry service to Turkey from Lesvos, Chios and Samos and overnight ferries from Athens and international air connections to most of them, they are a great stop-off point on any journey to Asia Minor, though most people just decide to stay on the islands. For more info on these islands see My North Aegean Greek Islands Guide. Click on the links below to each island to see my recommended hotels followed by other highly rated accommodations. A great way to plan your trip is my Create-an-itinerary page which allows you to put together a custom itinerary with the help of a travel agency with no obligation to book. Because many of these hotels you are going directly to the hotel’s booking page you won’t find customers reviews and the descriptions were written by the hotels. You can find reviews by googling the name of the hotel and location or Searching Booking.com. But please come back here to book the hotel and help support my websites. Or get assistance from one of my reliable travel agencies. Unlike most hotel sites which are database programs this site was entirely hand-made! I hope you appreciate it enough to use it to book your hotels in Greece. |
