Cyclades Islands
The Cyclades are the most well known of the Greek Islands and include Santorini and Mykonos which are the two most popular islands in Greece. Ferry trips are three to five hours to the closest islands (Kythnos, Syros, Tinos, Mykonos, Sifnos) and from five to nine hours to the furthest (Santorini) depending on how many stops it makes. Many of the islands have airports and the popular ones have international flights. There are daily ferries from Pireaus, Rafina and Lavrion to all these islands. Hotels for each island are listed beginning with the ones I recommend first, with photos, and then from highest category to lowest with villas, apartments, houses and simple rooms last. I have only listed the top rated hotels on each island so even if you can't find a room in one of my favorites you can still find something just as good in the hotels listed below the ones with photos.
